Boston Fashion week is in its 13th year creating opportunities which showcase local and international fashions. The main purpose of this showcase of professional and freshman talent is to network with peers and the public. “Boston style featuring a great wealth of local talent, is unique in that it is designed to engage the community directly, at the grassroots level -- cultivating fashion as an integral part of the Boston lifestyle,” says the Boston Globe. Saturday: Fashion Prep
The School of Fashion Design and the Boston Public Library invite teens to a panel discussion exploring many of the diverse ways to work in fashion. Learn about how to get started and meet professionals making their mark on fashion in Boston. Moderated by Boston Fashion Week Founder & Executive Director, Jay Calderin.
Sunday: Fashion Group International's Meet the Designers
A select group of leading Boston designers is being celebrated by Fashion Group International of Boston. This is the perfect opportunity to meet the designers who will be showing throughout the week.
Monday: The Evolution of Fashion Ethics, The Revolution of an IndustryJoin us for a dialogue about the pertinent issues facing fashion professionals today.
